Having worn the Nike Mercurial Dream Speed 9 boots from November 2024 until now, Ronaldo suddenly returned to wearing the older 'Mad Ambition' colorway (released from July 2024).
The reason CR7 is no longer wearing MDS 009s is probably because they are too old and the eyelets have torn after being on his feet for too long.
Wearing the old colorway of the Vapor 16 boot instead of the new one again confirms that Ronaldo is no longer Nike's top ambassador.
Now Ronaldo is no longer forced to wear the latest colorways every time the Mercurial boots are released. He has switched to Vapor instead of Superfly and can wear any colorway he wants.
