Uruguayan Championship Rebrands as "Liga AUF Uruguaya" with New Logo

The Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) has unveiled a complete rebrand of its top-flight domestic competition, transforming the traditional Uruguayan Championship into the "LIGA AUF URUGUAYA" beginning with the 2025 season. The Uruguayan league rebrand features a striking new visual identity, replacing the previous star-shaped logo that contained a small yellow center with a more modern, geometric star design. The new logo uses a clean blue color scheme with light blue accent lines under the "LIGA" text, maintaining the competition's national colors while presenting a more contemporary look.

AUF President Ignacio Alonso introduced the new brand alongside the league's official slogan "Fábrica de Talentos" (Talent Factory), highlighting Uruguay's renowned reputation for developing world-class players who go on to shine in major European leagues and the national team.

"Uruguayan football is an authentic talent factory," Alonso stated. "In our local league, we can see the birth and growth of stars who will soon shine in the world's major leagues and our national team. That's why we wanted the visual identity of the new LIGA AUF URUGUAYA to be precisely a star."

The rebranding initiative also includes the creation of an official league anthem, which will be incorporated into the AUF protocol and played during pre-match ceremonies. The anthem was produced by the same creator responsible for the CONMEBOL Libertadores anthem and other prestigious international competitions.
