Middlesbrough FC to Announce Castore Kit Deal?

  • New Kit Deal: Middlesbrough FC is expected to announce a kit deal with Castore, replacing Errea after the 2024-25 season.
  • End of Errea Partnership: Middlesbrough FC has officially announced the end of their partnership with Errea at the end of the 2024-25 season, after a three-year deal that began in 2022.
  • 150th Anniversary: The timing of the kit switch is strategic as Middlesbrough prepares for their 150th-anniversary celebrations in the 2026-27 season, with the new kit partner playing a significant role in commemorating the milestone.

Update - Monday, 17 May 2025: Middlesbrough FC are set to announce a kit deal with the British brand Castore to take over from Errea after the 2024-25 season. This information already came via @BoroBuzz on X at the start of the year - the announcement could be very near now.

Castore acquired the UK rights of Umbro in 2024, so there seems to be a slight chance that Umbro's logo will feature on Middlesbrough's kits, even though @BoroBuzz only mentioned Castore.

The timing of this switch is significant, as Middlesbrough FC gears up for its 150th anniversary celebrations in the 2026-27 season. Castore would, therefore, be responsible for designing the kits for this historic milestone.

Monday, 10 March 2025: Middlesbrough Football Club has officially announced that they will part ways with Italian sportswear manufacturer Errea at the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, ending their second partnership with the brand.

Middlesbrough to Have New Kit Maker From 25-26 Season

The announcement marks the end of a three-year deal that began in 2022, when Errea returned as the Teessiders' technical kit provider after previously serving in that capacity from 1994 to 2009.

This current stint has seen Errea produce three home kits for the Championship side, with bad reception from kit fans. The club's 2024-25 home shirt currently holds a 2.80/5 rating based on fan votes, continuing a trend of mixed reviews for recent designs.

The timing of the switch appears strategic, as Middlesbrough prepares for their 150th anniversary celebrations in the 2026-27 season. The club has indicated they are looking ahead "with excitement" to this milestone, suggesting their next technical partner will play a significant role in commemorating this historic occasion.

Middlesbrough's kit manufacturer history has been diverse, with the club wearing designs from Bukta (1973-1977), Adidas (1977-1984, 2009-2018), Hummel (1984-1987, 2018-2022), Skill Leisure (1987-1992), and Admiral (1992-1994) before their long-standing relationship with Errea began.

The club has yet to announce their next technical partner, stating only that "further details will follow." Footy Headlines does not know the new kit maker of Middlesbrough yet.
