BVB to Get New Kit Sponsor for 25-26 Season?
LEG Immobilien is just an example of a real estate company - very speculative.
Borussia Dortmund's current dual-sponsorship deals with 1&1 (Bundesliga kits) and Evonik (Cup and European kits) are set to expire on June 30, 2025. These innovative deals have reportedly earned BVB up to €40 million annually.
According to German outlet Ruhr Nachrichten, discussions between BVB and Vodafone have taken place, signaling serious interest from the Düsseldorf-based company. Vodafone previously sponsored Manchester United.
Evonik: The long-standing partner (since 2006) is reportedly keen to continue its relationship, viewing it as a "grown partnership" and looking to leverage BVB's global reach, also with the upcoming Club World Cup (which Evonik will sponsor nevertheless, probably).
1&1: The future with 1&1, BVB's Bundesliga shirt sponsor since 2020, is very unclear. While an option to extend was reportedly not taken by company chief Ralph Dommermuth, this doesn't necessarily mean a definitive end to their involvement. Dommermuth has strong ties to BVB, with his wife on the supervisory board and his investment company holding over five percent of BVB shares.
Beyond Vodafone, at least one other potential sponsor, purportedly from the real estate industry, is also understood to be in contention.
