Liverpool to Wear Nike Kits Until 31 July, Adidas Deal Starts 1 August
- Nike Contract End Date: Liverpool is contractually obligated to wear Nike kits until July 31, 2025.
- Adidas Contract Start Date: Liverpool's new kit deal with Adidas officially begins on August 1, 2025.
- Adidas Kit Launch Delay: The launch of Liverpool's Adidas 2025-26 kits is delayed until at least August 1, 2025, due to the ongoing Nike contract.
Although Liverpool's blockbuster new kit supplier deal with Adidas has been announced for the 2025-26 season, the club is still contractually bound to Nike for a few more weeks. The club's current contract with Nike is valid until 31 July, 2025, with the new Adidas partnership officially kicking off on 1 August, 2025.
This was perfectly illustrated during the recent announcement of new signing Florian Wirtz.
Liverpool to Wear Nike Kits Until 31 July
During his official unveiling as a new Liverpool player, Florian Wirtz was pictured exclusively in Nike apparel.
He wore the Nike 2024-25 home kit for his official photos, as well as Nike training wear for his medical and first training sessions with his new club. This was because Liverpool’s contract with Nike is still in effect.
The current agreement legally obligates Liverpool and its players to use and promote Nike products in all official capacities until the very last day of July.
This means all pre-season training and any friendly matches played in July will still feature Nike kits.
This has a major implication for kit fans. Due to these contractual obligations, the highly anticipated Adidas Liverpool 2025-26 kits cannot be launched before 1 August, 2025.
Supporters will have to wait until at least that date for the official reveal of the new home, away, and third kits from Adidas.

Celebrating the city's rich engineering heritage, the design is heavily inspired by the iconic Mallard locomotive, paying tribute to the famous Made in Doncaster train. AFC Wimbledon 26-27 Home Kit Released
The new AFC Wimbledon 2026-27 home kit was officially released today. Made by Lotto, the new kit features the club's traditional colors and will be available to purchase from July 4.
The Lotto AFC Wimbledon 2026-27 home shirt introduces a bespoke look in blue and yellow. The standout feature of the design is the extensive use of the Lotto logo, which is repeated continuously around the collar and the sleeve cuffs.
This repeated logo detailing on the collar and cuffs gives the shirt a distinct retro feel, but it breaks standard equipment regulations for European competitions. Due to the excessive branding, the AFC Wimbledon 2026-27 home kit would not be allowed to be worn in UEFA competitions, but EFL apparently allowed it.
