West Ham United to Replace Betway with BoyleSports as Main Shirt Sponsor - One Season Only Due to EPL Main Sponsor Betting Ban

  • Sponsorship Change: West Ham United will replace Betway with BoyleSports as their main shirt sponsor for the 2025-2026 season.
  • One-Year Deal: The agreement with BoyleSports is a one-year deal worth around £12 million due to the upcoming Premier League ban on gambling sponsors.
  • Controversy: The decision to partner with another gambling company has sparked criticism, especially given Betway's role in raising concerns about Lucas Paqueta's betting activity.

West Ham United are set to switch their main shirt sponsor for the 2025-2026 season, with Irish bookmaker BoyleSports replacing fellow betting company Betway, according to an exclusive report by Mail Sport.

West Ham United to Announce BoyleSports Main Shirt Sponsor Deal

This move comes amidst ongoing controversy surrounding star player Lucas Paqueta, who is currently the subject of a spot-fixing probe. The deal with BoyleSports is an one-year agreement, worth around £12 million.

The change in sponsorship is particularly notable as it was Betway who initially raised the alarm over suspicious betting patterns related to Paqueta, which subsequently led to the player being charged by the FA.

This reported new sponsorship with BoyleSports will be the last season West Ham can feature a gambling company as their front-of-shirt sponsor, due to the Premier League's ban on such deals coming into effect from the 2026-2027 season.

The decision has reportedly "raised eyebrows within the game and triggered outrage elsewhere," with anti-gambling campaigners criticizing the club. Will Prochaska, director of the Coalition to End Gambling Ads, stated, "The modern gambling industry has poisoned football, and teams like West Ham have lost their moral compass... That the club, despite this background, is replacing one gambling sponsor with another shows that they have not learned anything and are still putting corporate greed above the interest of fans."

West Ham declined to comment on the new deal, other than to state that the end of their relationship with Betway was not related to Betway's role in the Paqueta case. BoyleSports also declined to comment.

The new West Ham United 2025-2026 kits, which will feature the BoyleSports logo, are set to be launched by their kit supplier beginning July 2025.
