- Kit Creator Introduction: Bozif, a concept kit designer, is partnering with Footy Headlines to share a series of articles on creating original and realistic football kit concepts using Kit Creator.
- Kit Creator Versions: Kit Creator has multiple versions (EAFC, FIFA, PES, Football Manager) that allow users to design and import kits into their respective video games, with FIFA or EAFC being recommended for creative design.
- Inspiration for Designs: Inspiration for kit designs can be found in the FIFA Kit Creator Showcase, with designers like Marciozhugo, stevezz, and leyalmighty providing ideas, and designers can also reimagine a club's brand, template, and logos to create unique kits.
Hi! I’m Bozif - you may have seen some of my concepts going viral on social media or know me as the guy from YouTube who designs concept football shirts.

I’ve been creating kits for a few years now, and I currently make videos for the official Kit Creator social media accounts. I’ve worked with sportswear brands to bring some of my kits to life in the real world, and now I’m really excited to be teaming up with Footy Headlines to share a new series of articles that will help you make your own football kit concepts - ones that are original, imaginative, and realistic.
We’ll be using just one easy-to-use online tool - Kit Creator. And in this first article, I’ll walk you through the basics: how to use the tool, where to get inspiration, and how to get started making your own kits.
Some of the kits I created
🧰 What Is Kit Creator?
The tool I use - and the one I recommend - is simply called Kit Creator. There are currently four different versions available:
Each version allows you to create football kits that you can even import into their respective video games - but that’s not what we’re focusing on here.
If, like me, you’re mostly interested in designing kits for the sake of creativity and art, I recommend using either the FIFA or EAFC Kit Creators, which are the best and basically the same. They offer different 3D models, which you can choose by clicking the settings button in the main kit creator and scrolling down to the dropdown under “3D model.”
💡 My Tips
To get the most out of your designs, I recommend the following settings.
- For realism, go with the FIFA Kit Creator’s “Tight” model
- For style and flair, try the EAFC Kit Creator’s “Flying” model
- Use Day, Day (l) or Day (r) lighting - they’re the most realistic
🧠 Deciding What to Create
Once your settings are sorted, it’s time to ask yourself a few key questions:
- Will this be a home, away, third, or goalkeeper kit?
- What brand and template are you going to use?
- What sponsor and colours will bring your idea to life?
These early decisions help narrow things down and give you a good foundation for your design.
🐳 Where I Find Inspiration
PSG Olympics kit concept by stevezz
Whenever I’m low on ideas, I like to check out the FIFA Kit Creator Showcase and scroll through the Top Kits of the Day. There are loads of great designers on there - creators like Marciozhugo, stevezz, and leyalmighty are always putting out amazing work that can really spark new ideas.
leyalmighty and Marciozhugo rarely disappoint with their designs
Of course, copying someone else’s kit is a big no-no, but it only takes a spark of inspiration to get going.
I imagined what New Balance could look like for West Ham when they take over from the 26-27 season
Let’s say you see a Wales kit with a cool dragon effect, and it makes you think:“Hmm… a dragon kit would look great.”
That could lead to a completely original FC Porto concept with dragon scales. All it took was that one idea, and now it’s your own.
🧩 Brands, Templates & Logos
Sometimes it’s easiest to stick with the team’s real-life badge, brand, and sponsor, using the most updated templates. That’s a great way to get started.
But if you want to challenge yourself a bit more, you can reimagine the club completely:
- Use a different brand
- Add a retro sponsor
- Even design your own concept badge
This can totally change the style of the kit - and that’s the fun of it.
For example, I made an Inter kit using Joma instead of their real partner Nike. That branding switch brought a whole new aesthetic - Joma and Nike have different kit styles, so I adapted my design to match Joma’s vibe.
