Confirmed: Barcelona Again Forced to Wear Old 24-25 Third Kit

- Kit Clash: Barcelona is forced to wear their old 24-25 third kit for the second match of the 2025-26 La Liga campaign because all three of their 2025-26 kits clash with Levante's dark red and blue stripes.
- Mallorca Game: Barcelona had to wear the 2024-25 third kit in their opening match against RCD Mallorca because their new home, gold away, and orange third kits were too similar to Mallorca’s red and black colors.
- Nike's Miss: Nike did not provide alternative yellow shorts and socks for the Mamba away kit, even though the yellow shirt itself did not clash with Mallorca’s kit.
Update: Barcelona has posted a teaser image ahead of their upcoming match against Levanta, confirming that they will once again be forced to wear last season’s kit for their second match of the 2025-26 La Liga campaign.
All three of their 2025-26 kits (home, away, and third) result in a kit clash, at least for La Liga. As a result, they are required to wear the 2024-25 third kit to ensure clear visibility for the referee, spectators, and television viewers.
Barcelona were forced to open their 2025-26 La Liga campaign in last season’s third kit after all three of their new 25-26 full kits were ruled too similar to RCD Mallorca’s home kit. And as it looks, we will see the old third kit right away again.
In their 3-0 away win on August 16, Barça took the field in the lime green 2024-25 third kit. La Liga decided that their new home, gold away, and recently launched orange third kit (launched after the match, but not suitable as well) all clashed with Mallorca’s red and black colors, and, particularly, the black shorts and socks.

However, the yellow away shirt actually does not clash with Mallorca’s kit, but Nike failed to provide Barcelona with alternative yellow shorts and socks, apparently.
The issue is set to continue this weekend when Barça visit newly promoted Levante. Like Barcelona, Levante wear dark red and blue stripes, which the league has deemed incompatible with all three of Barça’s 25-26 kits.
According to SPORT, La Liga’s “Kit Selector” system determines permitted match combinations, with the final call made by the match director- and the referee still able to intervene if needed.
Interestingly, back in 2014, Barcelona was allowed to wear orange away against Levante. La Liga is stricter today, apparently.
Barcelona is starting the new season with three consecutive away matches.

Adidas is set to launch three retro and lifestyle collections for Boca Juniors during the 26-27 season. Huge thanks to Boca expert @marto_m3 and @KamilBerberler for the info.
The Argentine club will receive a "modern" Adidas Originals line alongside two historical capsule collections inspired by the iconic Stadium 1994 and EQT 1992 templates.
The main 26-27 Originals collection includes a track jacket, kangaroo hoodie, crewneck tee, woven shorts, and graphic t-shirt. The pieces feature the classic Adidas Trefoil logo paired with a starless Boca Juniors shield, adopting a dark blue and yellow color scheme with white detailing on the zip-up track jacket. This line aligns Boca Juniors with top European Adidas clubs receiving similar OG lifestyle drops.
In addition, the retro expansion brings back legendary nineties designs. The Linea Stadium 1994 range revives the distinctive blue and yellow diamond pattern across white jacket shoulders and matching shorts, while the Linea EQT 1992 series reproduces the bold shoulder block graphics on white and blue retro jerseys and track pants.
Tromsø IL 26-27 European Kits Released
Norwegian Eliteserien club Tromsø IL and equipment supplier Select have officially unveiled the club's new European kits for the 26-27 campaign. The special collection arrives as the Arctic team prepares for their international matches following qualification for UEFA competition.
The home kit maintains Tromsø's iconic look with classic red and white vertical stripes, featuring a clean crew-neck collar and matching sleeve cuffs. Gold text on the upper back reads "HUNDRE ÅR I RØDE OG HVITE STRIPER" (A hundred years in red and white stripes), celebrating the club's centenary of wearing their signature colors.
The away kit offers a dark navy base highlighted by a striking graphic depicting a map of Europe rendered in glowing gold constellation-style light dots across the lower front. Both jerseys feature the monochrome Select logo alongside the classic club badge and SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge front sponsorship.
Karşıyaka 26-27 Home & Away Kit Released
Turkish club Karşıyaka SK and kit manufacturer Hummel have officially unveiled the new home and away kits for the 26-27 season.
Staying true to the team's identity, the shirt features classic green and red vertical stripes separated by thin white pinstripes. A clean collar design with subtle red and white accents, along with matching sleeve cuff detailing, completes a refined look rooted in the club's tradition.
The away has a tailored look in white with red and green applications.
Hapoel Haifa 26-27 Away Kit Released
Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Haifa and manufacturer Reebok have officially released the club's new away kit for the 26-27 season. The shirt features a tailored graphic design paying homage to the coastal city of Haifa.
The Reebok Hapoel Haifa 26-27 away jersey features a dark charcoal and black base, accented by vibrant red piping along the collar, sleeve cuffs, and front panel seams. Across the body, a tonal graphic pattern depicts iconic local sights, including the famous Bahá'í Gardens terraces, palm trees, architectural steps, and sea waves.
Completing the kit, the back of the shirt displays white player names and numbers in Hebrew font, alongside local partner branding. The kit is finished with dark shorts featuring red side trim and white sponsor logos.
