Adidas Updates Material of Argentina Kit
- Material Change: The Argentine national team has switched back to a fabric similar to that used during 2018-2020 for its 2024 home kit due to issues with the newer material.
- Performance Issues: The previous kit material was considered to underperform in moisture wicking and movement support, leading Adidas to change the material for 2024-2025 club kits as well.
- Future Technology: Argentina's 2026 World Cup home kit, set to be released in November 2025, will feature Adidas' new Climacool+ technology, which will be worn in select matches.
For several years, we have been saying that Adidas' kit material is suboptimal, especially against Nike's Dri-Fit ADV technology. For 2026, Adidas will release a new kit fabric, called Climacool+, set to fix these problems - for the Argentine national team, it was apparently not early enough.

For the latest matches, the Argentine national team has reverted to a different fabric than the regular kit. The Albiceleste has had the fabric of its current 2024 home kit changed to the same/a similar one as used during the 2018-2020 period.
Sources suggest that the previous material was deemed to underperform in terms of moisture wicking and movement support. Adidas already changed the material for the 2024-2025 club kits, possibly because of the problems.
