Update: Confirming our leak from just three days ago, Footy Headlines can now reveal the first real pictures of the next-gen Adidas Predator 27 launch edition. Adidas is heavily leaning into nostalgia, recalling the iconic Predator Precision from the early 2000s for the debut of their 2027 silo. Big thanks to yuliotellez.
Next-Gen Adidas Predator 27 Launch Edition - Blue/Red/White
The new Adidas Predator 27 launch boots are a direct love letter to the past, featuring a predominantly blue base, a signature red fold-over tongue, and crisp white Three Stripes.
This combination is heavily inspired by the iconic "Blue Grey" colorway of the Predator Precision, which originally debuted 26 years ago in the year 2000.
Long-time boot enthusiasts will recall that Adidas previously paid homage to this exact "Blue Grey" Predator Precision with a remake released 9 years ago, back in 2017.
This blue, red, and white combination has cemented itself as one of the most iconic and recognizable colorways in the entire Predator franchise. Beyond the Precision, the palette is famously associated with the beloved Predator Mania, which has been treated to numerous premium remakes over the years and heavily influenced the design of the recent Predator 24 'Advancement' boots.
The upper design pays attention to its historic source material. The signature wavy Three Stripes taper down and connect elegantly towards the heel, directly mirroring the original Predator Precision. These wavy stripes seamlessly connect and wrap around to the medial side of the boot.
Introducing a fresh, modern twist to the classic Precision layout, the new Predator 27 features three large, distinct white stripes that run down the red tongue and extend straight onto the toe box.
Predator 26 vs Next-Gen Predator 27
Because Adidas has shifted the Predator franchise to a one-year upgrade cycle, the next-gen Predator 27 will not feature massive technological breakthroughs compared to the current Predator 26.
The differences between the two generations are primarily aesthetic rather than technological. While Adidas may have slightly upgraded the materials on the upper to optimize touch and overall performance, the structural tooling remains very familiar.
Notably, the soleplate on the Predator 27 is completely unchanged and identical to the tooling used on the Predator 26.

MLS Players Wear Their National Flags on Kits Ahead of 2026 World Cup
Major League Soccer last weekend hosted a dedicated "Farewell Week" to send off its international stars. To mark the occasion, all clubs across the domestic league took to the pitch wearing specially customized kits that honored the various nations represented within their squads.
The most prominent visual update to the MLS uniforms was the addition of official national flags printed directly on the chest for all players and coaching staff. In a highly thoughtful and personalized touch, the league provided specialized double-flag variations for athletes holding dual citizenship. This bespoke detail allowed these specific players to proudly represent both their current homelands and their heritage simultaneously before joining their respective national team camps.
Beyond the chest graphics, teams also sported a unique set of squad numbers on the back of their shirts, featuring a custom pattern made up of the flags of all 48 countries participating in this summer's World Cup.
What do you think of this customized flag concept for the MLS World Cup Farewell Week? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
