Indonesian side PSM Makassar have unveiled a special-edition kit collection to celebrate their 111th anniversary, taking direct inspiration from one of the club's most beloved vintage looks from the 1984-85 season. Founded on November 2, 1915, the club from South Sulawesi—then competing under the name PSM Ujung Pandang—has delved into its archives to revive quintessential 1980s football aesthetics.
The anniversary home jersey is a faithful nod to the 1984-85 Adidas shirt worn during the Perserikatan era. Featuring a rich maroon base lined with thin white vertical pinstripes, the design echoes the classic mid-eighties Adidas templates popularized across world football. The shirt is finished with the iconic Adidas Trefoil logo, a retro V-neck collar, traditional Three Stripes on the shoulders, and the club's vintage crest.
Alongside the maroon shirt, the special collection also features a champagne gold away edition adorned with a jagged diamond graphic stripe down the center in maroon and white. Set to debut in the League Cup, the commemorative release celebrates the enduring heritage of Indonesia's oldest professional football club.
