Wayne Rooney to Join Adidas?
Adidas are keen to bring Rooney into their lineup, according to The Sun.
The Sun reports that Adidas are "keen to bring Rooney into their stable especially with Manchester United now a huge part of the company's future." The newspaper has not disclosed any other details yet, even though it's likely that Adidas would increase his pay.
Wayne Rooney currently earns £4.5m / year from sponsorship deals according to the Forbes magazine, and Nike is the most lucrative deal of the 30-year old striker.
This would be a massive coup for Adidas, even though Wayne Rooney is not as important for Nike as he was some years ago. What do you think of the potential gigantic move of Man Utd's superstar? Let us know in the comments below.
