During recent UEFA Nations League training sessions, Spain was spotted using old training jerseys with one star removed and two additional stars printed above the logo. The imprint of the old star remains visible on the shirts.

This case is reminiscent of another interesting situation involving the Argentina futsal team at the 2021 Futsal World Cup. Despite being the defending champions, Argentina was not provided bespoke kits by Adidas and had to use standard jerseys, from which two stars were removed and replaced with one, as they had only won the Futsal World Cup once.

Adidas has teamed up with The Better Generation and designer Andu.c to launch the Grassroots Predator Sala futsal boots. Created to coincide with the 2026 FIFA World Cup, this limited collaboration offers a fresh take on the classic indoor silhouette.

The release is strictly limited to 1,248 pairs worldwide. Each pair is individually numbered to represent the total number of players participating in the expanded 2026 tournament.

The Better Generation x Adidas Grassroots Predator Sala boots will be available starting June 20, 2026. They are an exclusive release, available only through The Better Generation's in-store and online channels.

Penalty has officially launched a special retro remake of the Brazil national futsal team jersey from 1996. Officially dubbed the "Brazil 96 Jersey," the release celebrates the iconic squad that won the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Barcelona, famously defeating Spain 6-4 in the final at the Palau Sant Jordi.

While maintaining the classic references of the original mid-90s uniform, Penalty has adapted the new design to appeal to modern streetwear and lifestyle trends.

The accompanying promotional campaign for the release pays homage to the 1940s origins of futsal at the YMCA in São Paulo, where traditional football was first adapted for smaller hard courts.
