World's Gone Mad?! Real Madrid Sell Alex Hunter Shirts at Up to €160
Earlier this week, Real Madrid announced a rather unconventional signing. While other teams are busy bolstering up their ranks ahead of the new season, Real Madrid's social media was full of content featuring new "signing" Alex Hunter, the protagonist of FIFA's The Journey mode. In FIFA 19, Hunter will move to Madrid in order to progress his career.
The La Liga heavyweights didn't stop there and even added Hunter to their official squad inside the online store, placed right at the top next to Keylor Navas and Sergio Ramos. A range of Hunter jerseys is available, ranging from €60 for a "Baby Kit" to €160 for a men's authentic long-sleeve.
This has prompted lots of criticism from both the club's supporters and football fans in general, partly due to the fact that Madrid has lost CR7 and didn't sign a proper replacement yet.
