Happy Birtday, Adidas - Special River Plate Adidas 70-Years Anniversary 2019 Kit Released

Argentinian side Club Atlético River Plate and Adidas released a special jersey to celebrate the Three Stripes 70th birthday - Adidas was founded on 18 August 1949, 70 years ago.
Unlike the other teams of the brand who received special 70-years anniversary Adidas kits so far, River will use the special jersey in an official match - they will wear the shirt on November 10 in the match against Rosario Central.

CA River Plate's 2019 Adidas 70-Years Anniversary shirt does not feature a bespoke design but is based on the Adidas Campeon 19 template. It comes with the Adidas logo on the right chest and the River crest on the left chest.
On the back under the collar is a special label with the lettering "70 Years Of /// Stripes".
The River 70 Years of stripes kit comes with classic 1990-inspired numbers.

La Liga Announces Second Retro Matchday for 26-27 Season
Following the success of its inaugural edition last season, La Liga has officially confirmed that the Retro Matchday will return for the 2026-27 campaign. The announcement was made as part of the official La Liga calendar reveal, highlighting the league's commitment to celebrating football heritage.
The second edition of the Retro Matchday is scheduled to take place on Matchday 31, which falls on the weekend of April 11, 2027. During this round of fixtures, all participating clubs are expected to wear special heritage kits inspired by classic designs from their past.
By announcing the date alongside the season's fixture list, La Liga has given clubs and their respective kit manufacturers approximately ten months of notice. In 2027, we expect all teams (maybe without Real Madrid) to take part.
