Confirmed: Nike National Team, PSG Home Kit Launches & More Delayed Indefinitely + Liverpool Not Able To Change Kit Maker During Season?

Originally scheduled to have taken place this week, the releases of Nike's 2020 international home kits have been put on hold indefinitely.

The release of France's 2020 home and away kits, which was supposed to have taken place at the start of this week, had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, reports L'Equipe.

The French sports paper quotes a source from PSG, who confirmed that the launch of the 2020-21 home kit, which was scheduled to take place in May, has been suspended.

While we now got confirmation regarding Nike, it's safe to say that the same applies to the Adidas 2020 away and Puma 2020 home kits, which were also supposed to be released.

Another inside source has told us to not expect any kit releases to happen in the near future.

Meanwhile, according to SportBusiness, a prolonged season could lead to shirt supplier and sponsor deals that are due to expire this summer being extended for a few more months. The most notable examples of this would be Liverpool, who have signed a deal with Nike from June 1, and Chelsea, who will switch from Yokohama Tires to Three on July 1.
