Update - Only Replica Affected: Barcelona 20-21 Home Kit Launch Canceled Due to Color Fading

Update: New details on the Barcelona shirt situation have been revealed by local sports daily Mundo Deportivo.
According to this latest report, it's only the 'stadium' (or replica) version of the new shirt that is affected by the problem, with the more expensive Vapor Match variant not suffering from it.
Barcelona reportedly also want to communicate the reasons for the delay publicly, but no agreement has been found with Nike on this yet. The club, which operates a total of six stores, as well as a new online store since this year, also asked Nike for permission to sell the Vapor versions for a cheaper price than the default €140 while there are no replica shirts to sell.
The release of the Barcelona 20-21 home kit, originally planned to take place this week, has been put on hold according to reports in local media.
The Barcelona 20-21 home kit was supposed to be debuted in the Derby against Espanyol on Wednesday, July 8, but these plans were scrapped after it was discovered that there were serious issues with the shirts produced by Nike.
These issues were so serious in fact that the entire launch of the new FC Barcelona 2020-21 home kit, which Nike had already started to deliver to stores, has been postponed from July to September.
As per the report, it was discovered that the shirts were losing their color when coming in contact with water or sweat.
It now looks like the new away kit, which is black and gold, will be the first new Barcelona kit to be released this summer.
