Umbro yesterday launched a special retro shirt for El Salvador celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1970 World Cup qualification. El Salvador was the first Central American nation to to qualify for a World Cup.
At the 1970 World Cup, El Salvador lost all matches. They faced Belgium (0-3), Mexico (0-4) and the Soviet Union (0-2).

The Umbro El Salvador 2020 50th anniversary football shirt has a clean design in blue and white. The Umbro El Salvador 2020 50th anniversary shirt has various details to celebrate the team (known as La Selecta) and the 50th anniversary of the 1970 World Cup.
Inside the collar is the phrase “La Selecta Cuscatleca”. The logo on the chest comes with the date "1970". On the lower part is the country's silhouette in a darker shade of royal blue.
On the back is seen just below the nape of the neck a special seal that cites the 50th anniversary of the World Cup dispute, while below the number 10 is applied in a retro font.
