9 January 2020: Romelu Lukaku Trains In Adidas Copa Boots - No Endorsement Deal

Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku has been spotted training in an unusual pair of football boots for him - he laced up in the Adidas Copa soccer cleats.

Lukaku has been without a boot contract since summer 2020 likely

Even though he has been wearing the Nike Mercurial boots since a few months, Lukaku has been without a boot contract since summer 2020 likely. Lukaku had been sponsored by Nike in his youth and the first years as professional - he had a Puma contract for just two years between June 2018 and June 2020.

Romelu Lukaku Wears Adidas Copa 20+ Football Boots

Instead of his usual choice, the Nike Mercurial Superfly VII boots, Lukaku laced up in the white and green laceless Adidas Copa 19+ soccer cleats from 2019.

It was not the first time that Romelu Lukaku did not lace up in the Nike Mercurial Superfly boot in the 2020-21 season. In early pre-season, he was spotted with the Nike Phantom GT, while he laced up in the laced Adidas Copa 20.1 boots from the Uniforia Pack in September 2020 in Belgium training.

We believe Lukaku wants more comfort in training by wearing the Copa

We believe that the reason for Lukaku wearing the laceless Adidas Copa is that he wants more comfort in training. The fact that he wears an Adidas boot makes it pretty certain that he has no Nike deal.

Keep an eye on Romelu Lukaku's cleats in this midday's Serie A match against Roma.
