River Plate Player Wears Sponsorless Jersey in Copa Libertadores Clash
There was a kit quirk last night in the Copa Libertadores match between Colo Colo and River Plate, as River's Matias Suarez came off the bench and played the remainder of the game in a jersey that was missing the Turkish Airlines logo. This wasn't his only memorable moment of the night thankfully, as he scored the late opening goal in River's 2-1 victory over their Chilean counterparts.

Suarez entered the game in the 55th minute and was the only player on the pitch not to have Turkish Airlines' logo on his chest. The heat-applied logo most likely fell off at some stage before he put the shirt on. All other printing on his shirt was correctly in place.
The starting 11 with their fully printed kits
This is the second time this season that we've seen such an incident, after Barcelona's Ferran Torres played the second half of a Champions League game in a shirt with no Barca crest or Nike Swoosh. The Adidas logo and River Plate Badge were intact on Suarez's jersey, so between them, the two players have all the necessary applications for one successfully-branded kit.
River's social media manager even made a nod to the mishap, adding the missing sponsor logo onto the Suarez's shirt for the club's Instagram post after the game and tagging Turkish Airlines. The incident probably worked in the airline's favour thanks to the publicity it generated.
