Erling Haaland, Vinicius Junior, Jack Grealish, Kai Havertz & Rafael Leão Have No Boot Deals

Five top footballers - Erling Haaland, Vinicius Junior, Jack Grealish, Rafael Leão, and Kai Havertz - appear to be without a boot deal as their contracts with their current shoe brands have expired or are about to expire. These players have been spotted trying out different brands of shoes in training, leading to speculation about which brand they will eventually sign with.

Nike again decide to not extend their big money contracts, apparently

This is an both exciting yet stressful time for these players and the shoe brands as they look to make the best deal for themselves and the brand. Exciting, because top stars do not change boot suppliers in their careers. Stressful, because players have to come up with blackouts to give the brands no free exposure and might not be happy with their new boots brand.

What is eye-catching is that all players except for Rafael Leão were previously sponsored by Nike. Nike have lost dozens of players two years ago, and now this seems to continue.

Erling Haaland - Was Nike - Currently Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 (Phantom GX in Training) - Likely New Brand: Unkown

Erling Haaland has been without a boot deal since his contract with Nike expired in early 2022. He recently laced up in the latest Nike Phantom GX soccer cleats, filling speculation that he could resign from Nike.

Kai Havertz - Was Nike - Currently Blackout Nike Phantom GX - Likely New Brand: Unkown

Kai Havertz is looking like his time with Nike may be coming to an end, as he was seen playing against Fulham in a blackout pair of Phantom GX. Havertz has been trying out different colorways of the Phantom GT II over the past few weeks, which was a sign that all was not well with his contract with Nike. This latest appearance in the blackout Phantom GX confirms that he is soon to be out of contract with the brand.

Vinicius Junior - Was Nike - Currently Old-Gen Nike Mercurial Vapor 14/Blackout Vapor 14 - Likely New Brand: Unkown

Vinicius Junior's contract with Nike is going to court, and he has been using the old-gen Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 'Motivation' Pack since, while he even custom blacked-out his boots for the last match (only worn in the first half, possibly due to problems/bad feeling). It is unknown what brand he will sign with next.

Jack Grealish - Was Nike - Currently Blackout Nike Phantom GX - Likely New Brand: Puma

Jack Grealish has been seen wearing Puma Future Ultimate shoes in training, and it is expected that he will sign with Puma for a bit more than €4 million a year.

Rafael Leao - Was Adidas - Currently Adidas X Speedportal, Old-Gen Nike Mercurial Vapor 8 & Nike Phantom GX - Likely New Brand: Puma

Rafael Leao is using this time to try out different shoe brands, including adidas X Speed Potol+ and Nike Mercury Vapor 8. He is expected to sign with a brand soon.
