Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) today played with Korean characters for the first time in their history. Let us find out why.
PSG Wear Korean Names as a Tribute to Lee Kang-in
PSG signed Kang-in Lee from Real Mallorca for 22 million euros in the summer. The South Korean international (16 appearances) is a big star, especially in his home country, and has helped his new club gain popularity in Asia in one fell swoop. Lee's popularity is said to be so great that his jersey is the best-selling at the Parisians - even ahead of that of superstar Kylian Mbappé.
In honor of their South Korean fans, the French champions wore their jerseys featuring the Korean flocking. The club has made the jerseys available on their website.
Fans in South Korea could catch the game live at 9:00 pm local time, thanks to the favorable meeting schedule. It kicked off at 1:00 pm local time.
