All-New Adidas Football Boot 2024 Naming System Launched
- New Naming Structure: Adidas is transitioning to a 4-tier naming system for its football boots: Elite, Pro, League, and Club, replacing the previous 5-tier structure.
- "Plus" Name Elimination: The "Plus" designation for top-tier versions of the Copa and X boots will be discontinued starting in July 2024, with the top Copa boot being called "Adidas Copa Elite Knitted".
- Tiered Variations: Each tier, such as Elite and League, will have sub-variations, such as lace and laceless, to indicate different specifications, with variations depending on the individual silo.
Update: British football store Lovell Soccer has greatly explained how Adidas has changed the naming system for its three main boot silos for 2024.
The plus name will be history from summer 2024, and it makes much sense
Both the Copa and the X still come with the Plus name for the "special" top versions - this is pretty confusing for customers and will be history from July 2024. From then on, the top Copa is going to be called "Adidas Copa Elite Knitted." For the all-new F50, there only exist two top versions again, instead of three (called Adidas F50 Elite Lacless and Adidas F50 Elite").

Adidas Football Boot 2024 Naming System
The Adidas 2024 boot naming system will be divided into 4 tiers instead of 5 tiers as before: Elite - Pro - League - Club
Adidas Predator 2024
For the Adidas Predator 24, the Elite tier continues to be divided into three versions as follows:
- Elite Tongue
- Elite LL (laceless)
- Elite (laces)
Similar to the Elite tier, the League tier is also divided into three versions:
- League LL (high collar)
- League (high collar, laces)
- League low (low collar, laces)
Adidas X Crazyfast 2024
Just like the Predator 24 boot, the X Crazyfast boot also has an Elite tier, which is divided into three versions as follows:
- Elite +
- Elite LL (laceless)
- Elite (laces)
The Adidas X Crazyfast shoes also have a League tier, which is divided into two versions:
- League LL
- League (laces)
Adidas Copa Pure 2024
For the Copa Pure 2024 boot, the Elite tier is only available in two versions:
- Elite +
- Elite
Adidas Naming System vs Nike Naming System
In fact, Adidas has come up with a naming system that is almost identical to Nike's, with the exception of Tier 3 (League vs Academy). Is this a coincidence? Probably not.

For the turf versions, Adidas has removed the Pro tier. The naming system only leaves 3 tiers: Elite - League - Club.
Depending on the each silo, Adidas will continue to subdivide each of its tiers. This is to identify whether they are laceless or not, for example.

Vitória SC Announces Hummel Kit Deal
Vitória Sport Clube has officially announced a new five-year technical sponsorship deal with Hummel, beginning with the 2026-27 season. The Danish sportswear brand will supply the Portuguese club's match kits, training gear, and lifestyle apparel until the end of the 2030-31 campaign. This agreement brings an end to Vitória SC's decade-long partnership with Macron, who had been the club's kit maker since the 2016-17 season.
The club described the new agreement as a "return to the past to project into the future," referencing Hummel's previous stint as Vitória SC's kit supplier during 1992-92.

SV Austria Salzburg 26-27 Home Kit Released
The new SV Austria Salzburg home kit for the 26-27 season has been officially released today. Made by Capelli, the new shirt will be worn by the club in the Austrian 2. Liga.
The Capelli SV Austria Salzburg 2026-27 home jersey features a bespoke design in the club's traditional colors. It incorporates two different tones of violet and is highlighted by a custom graphic showcasing the Hohensalzburg fortress and the towers of the old town, representing the team's local identity and heritage.

Glentoran 26-27 Home Kit Released
Glentoran and Macron have launched the club's new 2026-27 home kit for the upcoming NIFL Premiership campaign. The design pays homage to the classic 1992-93 shirt worn during their memorable European Cup tie against Marseille, featuring a green body with red sleeves and shoulder panels separated by black trim.
Giving the shirt a distinct early 1990s retro feel, a red fold-over collar is included with black striping and a black V-shaped insert at the front. A tonal graphic pattern runs across both the green and red sections, adding texture to the Macron Eco Fabric. The Macron Hero logo appears in white on the chest and sleeves, sitting opposite the stitched Glentoran crest and its accompanying gold star.
Additional details include the club motto Le Jeu Avant Tout embroidered in white on the back of the collar, and Glentoran FC Est 1882 printed inside the lower hem. Featuring Bet McLean as the main sponsor, the new Glentoran 2026-27 home shirt is completed with matching white shorts and green socks.
Grimsby Town Announces Lotto Kit Deal
Grimsby Town Football Club has officially announced a multi-year partnership with Italian sportswear brand Lotto Sport, who will become the club's official kit supplier starting from the 2026-27 season. Lotto replaces Umbro, whose kits were supplied to the club in collaboration with Kitlocker.
