No More Umbro: West Ham to Sign New Balance Kit Deal From 2026-27

  • New Kit Supplier: West Ham United will switch from Umbro to New Balance as their kit supplier starting from the 2026-27 season.
  • End of Partnership: This move signifies the end of a decade-long partnership between West Ham and Umbro.
  • New Balance's Return: The deal with West Ham marks New Balance's return to supplying kits for a Premier League club.

West Ham United is set to end its long-standing partnership with Umbro and switch to New Balance as its new kit supplier from the 2026-27 season, according to information revealed by SportBusiness.

West Ham to Sign New Balance Kit Deal From 2026-27

West Ham has reportedly agreed a five-year deal with New Balance, marking the end of a decade-long association with Umbro, which began in the 2015-16 season. The current contract with Umbro will expire at the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign.

New Balance will become West Ham’s official technical partner, as the club opted against continuing with Umbro via the brand’s new UK licensee, Castore. Castore, who took over the ‘Umbro Professional Team Sports’ sub-license in key European markets earlier this year, had hoped to take over West Ham’s kit supply once the Umbro deal concluded.

However, West Ham’s commercial team conducted a tender process and ultimately chose to pursue a new path with New Balance. The decision is a significant blow for Castore.

The West Ham deal also represents a return to the Premier League for New Balance, who have been absent from the English top flight since their split with Liverpool in 2020.

In recent months, New Balance has been expanding its presence across Europe, securing kit deals with Atalanta (from 2025-26) and Bayer Leverkusen (from 2025-26), the latter having broken its Castore contract a year early. With West Ham on board, the US-based sportswear brand signals a clear intent to reestablish itself among football’s elite.
