Did Adidas Subtly Change the Design of the Liverpool 25-26 Third Kit?

  • Design Difference: Leaked images show a subtle design change in the Adidas Liverpool 2025-26 third kit, specifically in the collar and sleeve cuff details.
  • Possible Explanations: The design difference could be due to variations between the authentic player-issue jersey and the fan replica, or a late design adjustment by Adidas.
  • Uncertainty Remains: The true reason for the design difference is currently unknown, and confirmation will only come with the official launch of the kit.

New leaked images of the highly anticipated Adidas Liverpool 2025-26 third kit have revealed a subtle but noticeable difference in the design compared to earlier leaks, leading to speculation about a possible late design change from Adidas.

Liverpool 25-26 Third Kit - Two Versions

Two leaked versions of Liverpool's kit are 90% similar, with differences only in the collar and sleeve cuff details.

The first images of the Liverpool 25-26 third kit surfaced in May 2025, showing the jersey on a model. In that version, the white collar and cuffs featured a single, thin black stripe running along the very edge.

However, new official product pictures of the kids' version, which leaked a few days ago, show a different design. This latest version has a white collar and cuffs with two thin black stripes running through the middle, creating a more traditional "sandwich" look.

What's the Reason for the Difference?

Footy Headlines may offer two hypotheses for this difference as follows:

  • Authentic vs. Replica: It's possible that the two designs correspond to the two different versions of the kit. The single-stripe design could be for the player-issue authentic jersey, while the double-stripe version is for the fan replica jersey. Brands occasionally have minor design differences between the two tiers.
  • A Late Design Change: The other, perhaps more likely, theory is that Adidas made a late adjustment to the design. The version seen on the model may have been an early sample, with the double-stripe design being the final version that will be sold to the public.

For now, this remains a mystery. We will have to wait for the official launch of the Adidas Liverpool 2025-26 third kit to get a definitive answer and see which design—or if both—makes it to retail.
