Real Madrid has officially announced a new global partnership with AI cloud and data center company IREN. Under the agreement, the Nasdaq-listed firm becomes the club's Official AI Cloud Partner. The alliance marks IREN's first sponsorship foray into European soccer, with both parties set to collaborate on community initiatives, technological innovation, and digital transformation.

The partnership aligns with IREN's expanding operations across the continent, following its acquisition of Spanish data center developer Nostrum Group earlier this year to secure local power and infrastructure. Within Real Madrid's commercial hierarchy, IREN enters as a global club partner rather than a primary kit sponsor, joining the tier directly beneath primary partners Adidas, Emirates, and sleeve sponsor HP.

IREN has rapidly increased its footprint in the sports world throughout 2026. Prior to linking up with the Spanish giants, the firm secured a landmark jersey patch agreement with the NBA's Golden State Warriors starting in the 26-27 season, reported to be the most lucrative jersey patch deal in North American sports. While financial terms for the Real Madrid agreement were not disclosed, it highlights Madrid's ongoing strategy to align with major technological and digital infrastructure brands.

Stepping away from the familiar No. 2 shirt he wore at Real Madrid and the Spanish national team, Dani Carvajal has officially taken over the No. 14 jersey at his new club, Getafe.

Explaining the choice, the 34-year-old right-back shared he chose 14 because it's the number his brother-in-law, Joselu, wore at Real Madrid. He hopes it brings him the same luck and success that Joselu achieved at the Bernabéu.

This marks the first time in his club career that the Spanish defender has worn this number, having previously featured with No. 2 and No. 15 for Real Madrid, as well as No. 20 at Bayer Leverkusen.

Rayo Vallecano have officially announced that the club's iconic diagonal sash, known as la franja, will return as the protagonist design element across all three kits for the 27-28 season. The decision was confirmed in an official club statement following meetings between club officials and supporter representatives, addressing one of the most vocal and persistent demands from the Rayista faithful in recent years.

The classic straight diagonal stripe was replaced by an aggressive lightning-bolt motif starting in the 21-22 campaign. While the motif referenced the club's badge and nickname, many fans strongly opposed the departure from tradition and actively campaigned for the return of the historical sash. Although the 26-27 home kit incorporated diagonal styling, the lightning shape remained central to the design language.

The commitment to restore the traditional franja across the home, away, and third shirts comes as part of a wider effort by Rayo Vallecano's board to mend relations with supporters. Alongside monthly dialogue meetings and compensation for season ticket holders affected by stadium relocations earlier in the year, the club will ensure that its classic identity takes center stage on the pitch from 27-28 onwards.

Headlined by a faithful reissue of the iconic 14-15 third shirt designed by Yohji Yamamoto, the drop introduces both short-sleeve and highly coveted long-sleeve authentic versions featuring the tonal mythical dragon graphic, henley button collar, and era-accurate branding. Complementing the legendary kit, the Bringback capsule also revives the classic 14-15 presentation tracksuit, including the black track top accented by white and vivid pink shoulder inserts alongside matching track pants.
