The wait is nearly over. The 14-15 Premier League season kicks off on Saturday 16, when Manchester United open their 2014-2015 Premier League campaign against Swansea City. Two days ahead of the kick-off, we take a look at the 2014-15 Premier League Football Boots Battle as well as the 14-15 Premier League Football Kits Brands.

For the 2014-15 season, Nike introduced the new Nike Ordem 14-15 Premier League Ball, which is mainly white with blue applications and striking volt details to increase visibility. Nike is the official sponsor of Premier League, La Liga and Serie A and supplies the official Balls for the respective leagues.

This is the next-generation Adidas Nitrocharge 2014 Boot.

Just in time for the 2014-15 Premier League kick-off, Adidas launched the next-generation of the Adidas Nitrocharge Boot with two release colorways. While the most players will wear the Black / Silver Metallic / Solar Gold Adidas Nitrocharge 14-15 Boot, a few players will lace up in the Infrared / Metallic Silver / Core White Adidas Nitrocharge 14-15 Cleat.

2014 marks the 20-year anniversary of the famous Adidas Predator silo. To honor the iconic Boot, Adidas unveils 14 different Adidas Predator Instinct Boots. The Black / Red Adidas Predator Instinct 2014-2015 Football Boot is headlined by the new Predator boot face Mesut Özil, while Gary Cahill and Leighton Baines will wear the Solar Blue Adidas Predator Instinct Boot.

The new Neon Pink / Solar Blue Adidas F50 Adizero 14-15 Boot will stand out on the pitch, worn by new Chelsea signing Diego Costa, Andre Schürrle and Edin Džeko. David Silva will lace up in the Solar Blue Adidas Adipure 11pro Football Boot.

Nike players will wear the popular Nike Summer 2014 Boots in the first matches of the 2014-15 season, which were launched for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Nike launched the innovative FlyKnit Nike Magista Obra and Nike Mercurial Superfly Boots, which will be worn by Alexis Sánchez and Raheem Sterling. Even though the new Flyknit boots are the top version, various Premier League players opt out and wear the Nike Mercurial Vapor X and Magista Opus versions. The list includes Eden Hazard, Jack Wilshere, Jordan Henderson and Jan Vertonghen.

Puma released the new purple evoSPEED 1.3 Football Boot for the 2014-15 season (worn by Sergi Agüero) as well as a new yellow paint job for the Puma evoPOWER Boot, used by Cesc Fàbregas. Additionally, Puma unveiled special Red / White Arsenal evoSPEED and evoPOWER Boots worn by Arsenal players.

Warrior unveiled new 14-15 colorways for their three silos, which will be worn by Vincent Kompany, Marouane Fellaini, Kolo Touré and Thomas Ince. Umbro players will lace-up in the Umbro UX-1 Football Boot.

55 percent of all 2014-15 Premier League players wear Nike Boots, more than all of the other brands combined. The Nike Tiempo Legend V Boot is the most popular Nike 14-15 Premier League silo (106 players), followed by the Nike Magista (80 players) and Mercurial Boots (68 players). 36 players wear the Nike Hypervenom Phantom Boot.

Adidas supplies the boots for 35 percent of the players, while the Adidas F50 Adizero (79 players) and Adidas Predator Instinct Boots (72 players) are by far the most popular Adidas boot silos. 16 percent of the Adidas players wear the Nitrocharge, while just 3 percent lace-up in the Adidas Adipure 11pro boot.

Puma signed 28 Premier League players (5 percent), who will predominantly wear the Puma evoSPEED and Puma evoPOWER boots.

Warrior Football managed to sign eight players wearing Warrior Football Boots, including Vincent Kompany and Marouane Fellaini. Furthermore, Alvaro Negredo and Samir Nasri could switch to the US based brand after the were spotted wearing whiteout Warrior Superheat Boots.

The 2014-15 Premier League is the most competitive kit market across Europe with over five million shirts sold by the 20 clubs last season, according to Repucom.

Seven different kit suppliers managed to sign contracts with Premier League clubs, while the Southampton 14-15 Shirts are made in-house for one season. Interestingly, the kits of the 2013-14 Premier League Top 6 teams are made by 6 different brands this season (Nike, Warrior, Adidas, Puma, Umbro, Under Armour), after Nike lost the Everton and Arsenal Kit Deals.

After 20-years with Nike, the new Arsenal 2014-2015 Kits are made by Puma. Puma has signed contracts with four Premier League teams from the 2014-15 season.

Warrior again supplies the new 2014-15 kits for Liverpool, while they also signed Stoke City for the 14-15 season. Macron makes the new Aston Villa and Crystal Palace Kits, Under Armour produces the Spurs 14-15 Jerseys.

Umbro finally returns to the Premier League after the brand managed to sign new kit deals to produce the new Hull City 2014-2015 Kits and the Everton 14-15 Kits.

While Adidas managed to sign five Premier League clubs, there is no clear winner of the 14-15 Premier League Kits Battle. Last season, Adidas supplied eight Premier League teams.
