Champions League is back today, for what promises to be interesting and exciting match-ups between some of the greatest teams in Europe. This not only applies to the matches themselves, but also the boots worn by the players competing in them, as we'll be able to see interesting boot choices and even world premieres. But let's get right into it.
Arsenal v FC Barcelona - Boot Preview
This is the lineup Arsenal is expected to field in the first leg against Barcelona.
Arsenal's boot lineup is not only the one with the smallest Adidas and Nike share amongst today's teams (combined 7), it additionally features some interesting details. Héctor Bellerín, Nacho Monreal, Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey sport the latest colorways from New Balance and Puma, respectively.
On Barcelona's side, things are split fairly even between Adidas (5 players) and Nike (6), with Lionel Messi switching to the latest colorway of his very own Adidas football boots being the stand-out feature for the Catalans in terms of boots.
Juventus v Bayern München - Boot Preview
This is the expected Juventus Boot XI for the Champions League game versus FC Bayern.
Mario Mandzukic is set to return to action against his old team, and even wear his new 'camouflaged' Nike Hypervenom Phinish cleats for the very first time. Other than that, Paul Pogba is highly expected to lace up in the regular Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl colorway, further confirming his imminent switch to the Three Stripes.
The Bayern Munich Boot XI only includes Adidas and Nike players. The most unexpected boot choice in this lineup is set to be Xabi Alonso who was spotted wearing old-gen Adidas Ace boots in the last pre-match training session. Both Robert Lewandowski and Thiago wear regular Nike Hypervenom Phantom II soccer boots.

Adidas Reuses Spain’s 2026 Training Kits
During recent UEFA Nations League training sessions, Spain was spotted using old training jerseys with one star removed and two additional stars printed above the logo. The imprint of the old star remains visible on the shirts.
This case is reminiscent of another interesting situation involving the Argentina futsal team at the 2021 Futsal World Cup. Despite being the defending champions, Argentina was not provided bespoke kits by Adidas and had to use standard jerseys, from which two stars were removed and replaced with one, as they had only won the Futsal World Cup once.

Chelsea 26-27 Home Kit Leaked
Based on leaked details from myach_lab, our partner @whatthekit_x have created a mockup of the Chelsea 2026-27 shirt. The design combines a blue base with yellow details and a distinctive checkered sleeve pattern, while the Nike and Chelsea logos are placed centrally. The simplified lion crest from this season is also retained.
