Update: Ross Barkley has switched to the Floodlight Pack edition of the second-gen Nike Magista Obra soccer cleats after he previously laced up in the launch colorway of the boots. As he posted an image of his boots on social media, it was revealed that his boots feature modifications.

Ross Barkley's Nike Magista Obra II boots are the same as the regular edition of Nike's high-cut control boot apart from the sole plate. Ross Barkley uses the Tiempo sole plate instead of the brand-new agility outsole of the second-gen Magista.

Prompting speculation about a possible switch of brands, Everton midfielder and Nike Football representative Ross Barkley was spotted wearing blacked-out Nike football boots in yesterday's pre-season friendly against Barnsley.

Based on the brand-new next-gen Nike Magista II boots, Barkley wore a non-modified but totally blacked-out version of the evolutionary second-gen control cleats.

Barkley had been wearing Nike's Hypervenom boots previously. It was the first time that he was spotted wearing a blackout Magista boot.
