Borussia Mönchengladbach Announce One-Year Long H-Hotels Sleeve Sponsorship Deal
Borussia Mönchengladbach last week announced their first-ever official shirt sleeve sponsor deal with H-Hotels set to feature on the sleeve of the Gladbach jerseys in the 2017-18 season. In the second year of the contract, the sponsorship will continue on a premium-partner basis.
From October 2018, H-Hotels AG will run a four-star hotel at Gladbach's stadium. The hotel will have 131 fully equipped rooms where football fans can enjoy themselves in the immediate vicinity of the stadium. The hotel will also be equipped with a large-scale fitness centre, allowing fans to relax after the match experience. Borussia and H-Hotels AG have agreed that this cooperation will be supplemented by the completion of a long-standing sponsorship partnership.
H-Hotels Becomes Gladbach Sleeve Sponsor For 2017-18 Season
The new H-Hotels Gladbach sponsorship deal is reported to be worth a high seven digit Euro amount, while it is not known how long the deal runs.
"We are delighted that we were able to announce H-Hotels as our new strategic partner, who will help us continue to develop BORUSSIA-PARK as well as maintain a long-standing sponsorship partnership," said Stephan Schippers, Borussia Sporting Director. "Alongside main sponsors Postbank and kit suppliers Kappa, H-Hotels will also have a place on one of the most defining things for players and fans alike - the Borussia shirt itself. We are pleased about this prominent statement and mutual partnership," added Guido Uhle, Sponsorship Director, Catering and Events.
"As a family business, we also know that sport is linked to passion. Supporting sport has always been an important matter to us. Therefore, it is a real honour for us to be represented so prominently on the player’s shirts," said Alexander Fitz, Executive Chairman at H-Hotels AG. "The newly begun sporting partnership is the logical development and perfect addition to our fantastic working relationship," added Thomas Querl, Chief Financial Officer, H-Hotels AG.
