PSG Clear Leader - Longest Kit Partnerships In French Ligue 1
Currently, there are many big kit maker changes happening, with clubs like Arsenal (Puma -> Adidas), Manchester City (Nike -> Puma) and possibly also Liverpool (New Balance -> Nike [2020]) to get a new kit supplier. However, there are still many partnerships that have been there for an eternity. French experts Footpack have created a raking of the longest kit partnerships in the Ligue 1.
Longest Kit Partnerships In French Ligue 1
The longest partnership in the French Ligue 1 is the one of Paris Saint-Germain and Nike. PSG has been sponsored by the Swoosh for 30 years, since the 1989-90 season. Montpellier, who are also sponsored by Nike, come second, while two Puma-sponsored clubs come third (Bordeaux) and fourth (Stade Rennais).
RC Strasbourg, FC Nantes, Amiens SC and Olympique de Marseille are the four clubs who have been under contract since the 2018-2019 season.
It has been already confirmed that AS Monaco will leave Nike after five seasons - Kappa will become the new jersey supplier of the Monegas.
In case you are wondering: The longest partnership between a club and a brand is possibly the one of Adidas and Bayern München, who have been together since 1966 - more than 50 years.
