Amazon To Become Flamengo Main Kit Sponsor - First Shirt Sponsor Deal For Amazon
Amazon and Brazilian giants Flamengo are in the final stage of talks about a kit partnership to replace current sponsor Banco BS, according to several Brazilian media.
Flamengo Shirt Sponsor Banco BS Terminates Deal Ahead Of Schedule
Banco BS2, the current main shirt sponsor of Flamengo, will terminate its deal on June 30, six months ahead of the scheduled end. BS2 signed a two-year deal with Flamengo in early 2019, reportedly worth about R$15m (€2.5m) in its second year, or upwards of R$25m per year conditional on bonuses derived from new fan accounts at the bank.
According to the club, one reason for the digital bank Banco BS2 to terminate the deal earlier than planned is a “strategic decision”. The bank offered fans branded BS2 Flamengo accounts and bank cards as part of the deal.
However, Brazilian media say that the decision is directly caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, as was the departure of another Flamengo sponsor, the olive oil brand Azeite Royal.
Amazon To Sign 18 Months Flamengo Shirt Sponsor Deal
The prospected new Amazon Flamengo kit sponsor deal is said to be worth R$40 million (8 million USD for the 18 months). The desire of both parties, however, is for the partnership to be more lasting, but a conservative stance was adopted due to the election for president of the club in late 2021.

Exactly 50 years to the day after the famous European Cup final in Glasgow, Le Coq Sportif has released a special limited-edition reissue of the iconic AS Saint-Étienne 1976 kit. All-New Ligue 3 Revealed
The French Football Federation (FFF) has officially announced the launch of the fully professional "Ligue 3" for the upcoming 2026-2027 season, permanently replacing the current third-tier Championnat National. This historic move marks the first time the FFF will directly organize a professional men's league.
As part of this major restructuring of the French football pyramid, the lower divisions will also be renamed for better clarity: the current National 2 will become National 1, and National 3 will shift to National 2. The newly formed 18-team Ligue 3 aims to bring greater financial stability, technological innovation such as a coaches' video challenge system, and increased exposure to the division, with all 309 matches set to be broadcast exclusively on the Ligue 1+ platform.
To mark this monumental transition, the FFF has also introduced a completely new visual identity for the competition. The rebranding is centered around a modern logo that combines the rectangular shape of a football pitch with the tiered structure of a stadium grandstand. This design visually embodies the league's new official slogan, "Terrain de rencontres" (Meeting Ground), aiming to highlight the intersection of professional ambition and popular, locally rooted football.
