2020-21 Premier League vs La Liga vs Ligue 1 vs Serie A Kit Fonts
Ahead of this season, two of Europe's Top 5 leagues introduce a brand-new kit typeface (Ligue 1 & Serie A [first time]) - we compare the 2020-2021 Top 5 league kit fonts, revealing that there is only one league without a streamlined kit typeface.
2020-21 Top 5 League Kit Fonts
All the streamlined kit fonts have two main aims - a streamlined visual brand as well as a good visibility for all teams, which is guaranteed as teams are not able to play around with their typeface.
However, between the different leagues and their streamlined fonts, there are some differences next to the visual design.
The Ligue 1 allows teams to choose from three different font styles which are all based on the same numerals shapes.
La Liga and Serie A allow teams to have their logo on the bottom of the font, while Premier League and Ligue 1 teams have the league's badge on the bottom.
The Premier League is the only league in which teams are not able to have their own color but have to choose from five (six) different colors.
The only league of the Top 5 to have no streamlined jersey font is the German Bundesliga.
