Based on 2022 World Cup Ball: Adidas Spain Copa del Rey & Super Cup 22-23 Ball Released
Update: The Spanish Copa del Rey has started. With it, the official Adidas match ball for the competition is available to buy at a few selected retailers. Real Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, and Betis will use the ball in the 2022 Spanish Super Cup.
The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) already some time ago revealed the official match ball for the 2022-2023 season. It will be used in all competitions organized by the RFEF, including the Copa del Rey, the Spanish Super Cup, and the Primera Federación (third division) but not by the Spain national teams.
Spain's Women's First Division is now independent and won't use Adidas balls next season
Unlike last season, the 22-23 Adidas RFEF ball won't be used in Spain's Women's First Division. The now-independent league has signed a one-year deal with Puma to supply them.
Adidas Amberes 2022-2023 Football - Official Ball of the Royal Spanish Football Federation
The Adidas 22-23 official match ball is called "Amberes", the Spanish name for the Belgian city Antwerp. Antwerp hosted the 1920 Olympics when Spain's national team played their first-ever match.
The Adidas Amberes is adorned with the colors of the Spanish flag and elements such as the crown or the lion rampant, which recall the first shirt in the history of the Spanish National Team.
Tech-wise, the Adidas RFEF 22-23 ball is the same as the 2022 World Cup football, the Al Rihla.
