- Top Clubs: FC Barcelona reported the largest increase, driven by their new Nike partnership, and Newcastle United FC more than tripled their revenue with a new Adidas deal.
UEFA today released its latest financial report. It confirms that Europe’s biggest clubs are still increasing their income from kit supplier deals and merchandising, although the pace of growth has slowed compared to previous seasons.
UEFA 2024-2025 Kit & Merchandising Report
According to UEFA, 21 of the top 25 clubs generated higher revenues from their kit manufacturer agreements and merchandising activities in 2025 than in 2024. Nineteen of those clubs recorded all-time highs in this category.
Merchandising revenue across the group rose by 20%, while income from kit supplier deals increased by 13%. Combined, these two streams are now 82% higher than in 2019, underlining how strongly the market has recovered and expanded since the pandemic.
However, the data also suggests that the rapid post-pandemic acceleration is easing. Excluding the biggest outlier (Barcelona and Nike, who agreed on an exceptional one-time payment to help Barcelona's ever-struggling finances), average kit manufacturer revenue growth among the other top 25 clubs was 6%. That represents solid progress, but it is more moderate than the sharp jumps seen in the immediate rebound years.
The largest increase was reported by FC Barcelona, driven by the first year of their new 14-year partnership with Nike. The Catalan club’s jump stands out in a season otherwise defined by steady, incremental gains rather than dramatic spikes.
The most notable mover is Newcastle United FC, which more than tripled their revenue, thanks to the massive new Adidas deal.
Overall, the figures show a market that remains strong and structurally healthy, even if year-on-year increases are beginning to normalize.
UEFA 2024-2025 Sponsorship Revenue
FC Barcelona and Real Madrid clearly lead in commercial revenue, showcasing that they are the biggest clubs in the world currently. Manchester City apparently got creative again with their "sponsorship" deals. Adidas and Macron are the leading suppliers in Europe’s Top 10 divisions, with the two brands making the kits for 16%, respectively.
