Arsenal took the pitch in a rare all-red kit combination for their 26-27 UEFA Champions League opener against Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Mikel Arteta's side paired their regular home shirt with alternative red shorts and red socks, creating a striking monochrome lower half below the shirt's traditional white sleeves.

The uniform change was enforced due to UEFA's strict regulations regarding kit clashes. With Napoli wearing their standard home ensemble featuring white shorts, Arsenal were unable to use their primary white home shorts. Rather than switching to an away or third kit, the club utilized their alternative red shorts designed specifically for such color-conflict scenarios.

This marked the first time the Arsenal senior men's team had worn the all-red look since a Premier League trip to Watford in March 2022. Interestingly, the Gunners also donned an all-red setup at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona during a Europa League quarter-final clash against Napoli back in 2019. The combination proved to be a good omen once again, as Arsenal claimed a 1-0 victory thanks to a second-half goal from Martin Ødegaard.

Inter Milan will have a dedicated name and number font for their new 2026-27 third kit in the UEFA Champions League, something rarely seen from the Nerazzurri in recent years as they have typically used the standard Serie A typography in Europe.

For Serie A, Inter use the standard league typography in Speed Yellow. In the Champions League, however, the Nerazzurri switch to a bespoke 1990s-inspired font with taller, sharper-edged lettering and numbers featuring a thin blue outline, matching the kit's grey.

Interestingly, Inter's 2026-27 home shirt uses the standard Serie A font and was worn in their first Champions League match against Real Madrid. The third kit, meanwhile, features a dedicated Champions League typeface.

Fans can choose between the Serie A and Champions League fonts when customizing the Inter Milan 2026-27 third kit on the club's official web store. This dual-font approach gives the European version a distinct retro feel.

While all other Manchester United players took the pitch with league badges on both sleeves, Benjamin Šeško was spotted as the only one missing the patch on his left arm for reasons unknown.

UEFA have signed their first ever referee kit sponsorship today with Strauss - famous safety workwear, gear and equipments company from Germany.

Following this deal, the German company's logo will appear on the left sleeve of referee kits in UEFA competitions, as well as on VAR screens and assistants' operating room. The effect of the deal will start immediately on 26-27 Champions League matchday 1, and to be applied with Europa League and Conference League after that.

Heading into his second season in the Süper Lig, the 33-year-old goalkeeper was once again spotted taking the pitch in a cut-sleeve jersey. Simply because Fenerbahçe does not offer a short-sleeve kit option from Adidas.

Paris Saint-Germain and main sponsor Qatar Airways have unveiled their fifth consecutive Pink October initiative to support breast cancer awareness and patient care. For the campaign, PSG's 26-27 home kit features the iconic pink ribbon placed underneath the Qatar Airways logo, complete with a pink gradient effect and matching pink player names and numbers on the back. The men's squad will wear the special shirt during their Ligue 1 clash against Olympique Lyonnais on October 25 at the Parc des Princes, following appearances by the women's team against OL Lyonnes on October 17 and the handball side on October 10. Match-worn shirts from these fixtures will be auctioned off to raise funds for the AP-HP Sorbonne Université hospital network.

Alongside the second star above the crest, Spain officially unveiled a new 3D embossed World Champions badge during their recent 3-2 victory over England in the UEFA Nations League. This badge previously appeared on Spain's jersey after their 2026 FIFA World Cup triumph.

Compared to the heat-applied plastic version seen on Argentina's kits, the new badge from Cromotransfer offers a significantly more premium look, featuring an embossed surface and a multi-layered structure. Before that, Adidas has increasingly shifted to pre-applying tournament and champions badges directly in its manufacturing facilities.

However, this upgrade will be exclusive to the authentic player-version jerseys. The fan-version replica shirts will continue to feature the standard heat-transferred plastic badge.

According to Ball Stand Thailand, the Thailand national team and Warrix must modify their kits for the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup, as the current uniform violates FIFA regulations.

Laws 4 of the IFAB players' equipment prohibits any political, religious, or personal slogans, statements, or images on match shirt.

Thailand’s 2026–27 kits by Warrix feature an pattern of the national anthem lyrics. Although national anthem lyrics are not explicitly classified as prohibited text, incorporating a full sentence from the anthem or extracts with ideological undertones onto the kit is still considered a violation of slogan regulations.

Borussia Dortmund full-back Julian Ryerson suffered an unusual kit malfunction during BVB's 1-0 Bundesliga victory against VfB Stuttgart. Midway through the second half, the Norwegian international engaged in a physical duel with Stuttgart winger Jamie Leweling. As Leweling fell to the turf, he grabbed hold of Ryerson's shorts, completely tearing the outer seam apart and leaving the fabric hanging loose.

Ryerson initially attempted to carry on playing by knotting the shredded material at his hip. The incident has brought Puma's kit durability back under scrutiny. The German brand constructs its authentic elite kits using lightweight Ultraweave performance fabric, prioritizing minimal weight and high breathability. However, the delicate material has repeatedly faced criticism among supporters after tearing in high-intensity tussles, with Ryerson's mishap marking another visible tear on the Bundesliga stage this 26-27 season.

Trading card manufacturer Topps has revealed a set of four ultra-rare trading cards created by cutting up a match-worn Harry Kane Bayern Munich jersey. Released as part of the 2025-26 Topps Museum Collection UEFA Club Competitions series, the cards take the striker's match-worn nameplate and divide it into four individual one-of-one collectibles.

Each card in the Museum Nameplate Relics subset houses a single letter from Kane's surname: "K", "A", "N", and "E". Embedded in a dedicated display window alongside a photo of Kane in Bayern colors, the fabric swatches highlight the cream-colored knit and deep red lettering from a Bayern kit, marked with official "Match-Worn Memorabilia" certification and UEFA Champions League branding.

While relic cards featuring match-worn gear have been popular in the hobby for years, deconstructing entire match-worn shirts to create cards regularly divides opinions among kit collectors who would rather see historic shirts preserved intact.

For high-end card enthusiasts, however, piecing together all four separate 1/1 cards to rebuild the complete nameplate is set to be one of the rarest pursuits in the collection.

In their recent 3-0 victory over Arsenal, Brighton debuted a special 125th-anniversary kit, making them the first team since Manchester United in 2008 (who marked the 50th anniversary of the Munich air disaster) to wear a commemorative jersey in the Premier League.

Indonesia national team third kit from Kelme features a blue inspired by the ocean, subtle floral patterns adorning the front in tribute to Puspa Bangsa (jasmine), Indonesia’s national flower.

However, the design quickly drew scrutiny from Garuda supporters, who discovered that the flower pattern appears virtually identical to a generic stock vector available on Freepik. The revelation has left many fans deeply disappointed, raising questions over the lack of originality in what was expected to be a bespoke creation from Kelme.
