Earlier this week AS Roma and New Balance officialized their new sponsorship agreement, which will start with the 2021-22 campaign. We take a look at good and bad New Balance kits - thanks to @phildelves for the idea.
To get a first impression of New Balance's recent work we want to take a look at good and bad football kits they produced for big teams like Liverpool, Celtic or Porto. Adding AS Roma to their roster will give them an iconic colour combination to create kits with.
New Balance is an American sportswear brand that started to produce modern football shirts after subsidiary firm Warrior massively failed during the early 2010s. The Boston-based company took over the contracts with the 2015-16 season and produced football shirts for several major clubs since then.
Good New Balance Football Shirts
If we take a look on the bright side there are definitely reasons to like New Balance when they manage to create a classy timeless effort. A very good example for two good New Balance kits are Liverpool's 2017-18 home and away kits. Another smart effort are Lille's 20-21 kits with the third shirt even featuring a 3D effect for the club badge.

Bad New Balance Football Shirts
However, not every aspect of New Balance is likable. For example, the American sportswear brand often times tried to create outstanding football shirts for Liverpool, but completely missed.
Other very good examples for failure are Porto's 2015-16 away jersey or Celtic's seriously horrendous 2019-2020 third shirt. Those two could almost be mistaken for a Warrior effort.
