The Japan 2022 World Cup home kit comes with a yellow front number that greatly stands out on the blue base. It is a striking yet good-looking feature but nothing all-new.
There is no yellow except for the typeface
In fact, the first Japan kit to have yellow numbers was the 1992 home kit, while Adidas brought back the yellow numbers for the 2013 Confed Cup kit.
No other elements of the kit except the font are yellow.
In terms of font style, Japan use the same streamlined typeface as the other Adidas national teams like Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico.
