Stuttgart to Sign Castore Kit Deal? Prototype Jacket Leaked

We were recently sent a picture of what appears to be a prototype of Castore jacket for VfB Stuttgart.

The leaked picture shows a basic jacket, black with a white Castore logo and without any remarkable design features. The Stuttgart crest sits on the left chest.

The same type of jacket is being sold by Sevilla (same black colorway) and Rangers (black with blue accents), so it's safe to say it's from Castore's 2022-23 range.

So, could this mean that Castore are working on adding even more teams to their roster next season? In the unlikely case that you missed it, Castore in 22-23 already added the likes of Aston Villa, Bayer Leverkusen and Sevilla, to name just a few, and are set to follow it up with possibly Feyenoord and Hamburg in 2023.

In this case at least, we don't think so. Stuttgart are under contract with Jako and in fact only renewed their deal with the local brand until 2029 earlier this year.

We believe that the most likely explanation for the existence of this jacket is that Castore negotiated with Stuttgart before their renewal agreement with Jako was finalized. Given that Jako not only renewed fox an additional six years less than 12 months ago, but also bought 4 per cent of the club's shares, it would be a huge surprise if Castore ended up taking over in the foreseeable future.
