Inter Milan 24-25 Kits to Feature Betsson Logo?
- Sponsorship Talks: Inter Milan is in discussions with Betsson to become their main shirt sponsor, potentially replacing Paramount+.
- Sponsorship Instability: Inter Milan has had several different main shirt sponsors since the end of their long-term deal with Pirelli in 2021.
- Regulatory Hurdles: Italian regulations currently ban gambling companies from being main shirt sponsors, making the Betsson deal uncertain unless a loophole or regulation change is found.
Inter Milan is reportedly in talks with betting company Betsson to take over from Paramount+ as the club's main shirt sponsor. This news was reported in last Friday's print edition of Turin-based newspaper La Stampa.
Inter could get a revolutionary design for the 2024-25 season
The main shirt sponsorship at Inter has been uncertain since the end of the club's long-term partnership with tire manufacturer Pirelli in summer 2021.
Inter has been changing main sponsors every season since Pirelli left
Socios.com replaced Pirelli, but their partnership lasted for just one season. Inter then signed with cryptocurrency company DigitalBits, but the partnership ended abruptly due to financial issues. Inter, after that, agreed to a short-term deal with Paramount+ for just two matches, including the Champions League final against Manchester City. The deal with Paramount+ was extended for the 2023-24 season but expires in June 2024.
Inter Milan in Talks With Betsson for Main Shirt Sponsor - Regulations in Italy Banned Betting Sponsors in Football in 2018
Inter is now in talks with Betsson to replace Paramount+ - Betsson could pay around 30 million Euro/season. There is a big obstacle, however.
Big thanks to justmakingfootballkits for the design
Current regulations in Italian football do not allow gambling companies to be the main shirt sponsor of football clubs. Therefore, it is uncertain whether Betsson and Inter can form a financially beneficial partnership for the upcoming seasons. Betsson may bypass the rules by having "Betsson News" or something similar on the kit, or the government could lift the ban.
