Exclusive: More Adidas Teams to Become Elite Clubs From 25-26 Season

  • Adidas Elite Expansion: Adidas is planning to add more teams to their 'Elite Team' category starting in the 25-26 season, providing these teams with authentic kits featuring Heat.Dry technology and the Trefoil logo on third jerseys.
  • New Elite Teams: Next season, there will definitely be 6 elite clubs: Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Liverpool. Newcastle United and AS Roma are likely to become the new elite teams.
  • Tiered System: Adidas has a tiered system with A+, A, A-, B, C, and D categories. Elite teams are mostly in A+ and A tier, while B tier teams are likely to be upgraded to "Premium Clubs".

Adidas is considering and preparing to add more teams to the 'Elite Team' category, meaning these teams will have the authentic kit (Heat.Dry technology) and the Trefoil logo on the third jersey from the 25-26 season.

More Adidas Teams to Become Elite Clubs

Adidas will consider upgrading some A, B+ and B clubs to 'Premium Clubs' in order to provide these clubs with authentic kits and related benefits.

Next season, Adidas will definitely have 6 elite clubs including: Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayern München and newcomers Liverpool (kit deal with Adidas since season 25-26).

According to Footy Headlines' predictions, Newcastle United and AS Roma are the two teams most likely to become Adidas elite teams. The other teams could also be involved, but their chances are slimmer.

Current Adidas Top Teams Ranked

  • A+ Elite - Real Madrid & Manchester United (only teams who sell long-sleeve authentic away kits) + Arsenal & Bayern München (special Kits for Women teams)
  • A Elite - Juventus: authentic kits available, but no long-sleeve authentic jerseys and no bespoke Women's kits
  • A- Elite - Flamengo: authentic kits available, but no lifestyler third kits, and not marketed internationally
  • B Premium - Many Teams: Bespoke kits, but no authentic kits (e.g. Benfica, AS Roma, Leeds United)
  • B - Even More Teams: bespoke kits, but almost no other bespoke gear (e.g. Union Berlin, Nottingham, Fulham)
  • C - Direct contract with Adidas, customized Adidas "Locker Room" kits (previously miTeam), no bespoke designs
  • D - No direct affiliation with Adidas, standard teamwear kits (most smaller teams, e.g. Saarbrücken, Hapoel Tel Aviv, FC Košice, Xerez)
