From One Betting Sponsor to Another: Liga Portugal Bwin Becomes Liga Portugal Betclic
- Primeira Liga Sponsorship Change: The Primeira Liga has changed its title sponsor from Liga Portugal Bwin to Liga Portugal Betclic.
- Primeira Liga Branding Update: Due to the sponsorship change, the Primeira Liga will release a new sleeve badge and league font.
- Segunda Liga Updates: The Segunda Liga will retain its name (Liga Portugal 2 Sabseg) but will update its logo to match the new Primeira Liga design.
Liga Portugal, the organization that controls the Primeira and Segunda Liga, announced yesterday at the 2023-24 season-opening several important things:
- The Primeira Liga changes sponsor, transitioning from Liga Portugal Bwin to Liga Portugal Betclic.
- As a consequence, it will change its league patch, as the older one had Bwin branding. It should be released shortly and this is our prediction.
This was already predicted, as some online stores did not offer the league's badge as customization.
- As a consequence, it will change slightly its league font, as the older one had Bwin branding as well. It should be released shortly.
- The Segunda Liga does not change sponsor, maintaining the name Liga Portugal 2 Sabseg. However, it updates its logo slightly, in order to conform with the new logo for the Primeira Liga.
- As a consequence, it can change slightly its league patch, maybe a design similar to the Primeira Liga. However, we find this unlikely, due to cost reasons.
- As a consequence, it can implement a new league font, maybe a design similar to the Primeira Liga. However, we find this unlikely, due to cost reasons. Currently, it's the club's kit manufacturer or the clubs themselves that take responsibility for the printing design.
These were all the changes announced, as well as the fixtures for the Primeira and Segunda Liga 2023-24 season. We will update this article as soon as new information is released.

FC Bayern Reveal Special 26-27 Asian Tour Kit Fonts
FC Bayern München has officially unveiled two special-edition shirt namesets for their 26-27 pre-season Audi Summer Tour across South Korea and Hong Kong. Designed in collaboration with adidas and Hypebeast, the custom flocking designs will be worn on Bayern's 26-27 home and away kits during their friendly matches against Jeju SK and Aston Villa.
Each fixture features a unique font design rooted in local art and traditional culture. For the match on Jeju Island, South Korean artist Dohee Kwon created a design inspired by Gime, a traditional paper craft unique to Jeju that is tied to local rituals, incorporating sun and moon graphics into the numbers. For the friendly in Hong Kong, local artist Kristopher Ho crafted a gold-accented font featuring dragon motifs inspired by ancient Chinese aesthetics.
Both special-edition kit fonts are limited releases tied directly to the tour. The Jeju nameset is available exclusively at official pop-up stores on Jeju Island, while the Hong Kong font is sold solely through FC Bayern pop-up stores and partner retail locations in Greater China.
