Erling Haaland's Poppy Patch Peels Off During Manchester City Match
During Manchester City's Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Etihad Stadium, striker Erling Haaland suffered an unusual kit malfunction as his special commemorative poppy patch began peeling away from his jersey. The fixture served as City's official Remembrance match for the 26-27 campaign, with players sporting the symbolic red flower on their chests ahead of Remembrance Day. Big thanks to @ShirtSquadapp.
Close-up broadcast cameras caught the side of the heat-applied poppy lifting cleanly off the fabric, dangling loosely from the front of Haaland's shirt during play. The mishap did not go unnoticed by kit enthusiasts online, with football shirt community account ShirtSquad joking that the application "needed a bit longer on the heat press."
Premier League teams regularly add heat-sealed poppy emblems to their match kits throughout late October and early November, with the match-worn shirts subsequently auctioned off to raise funds for the Royal British Legion. While kit staff take great care in preparing the jerseys, Haaland's fluttering patch served as a lighthearted reminder of how quickly heat-pressed details can come unstuck in the heat of battle.

Bournemouth 26-27 Third Kit On-Pitch Debut
AFC Bournemouth debuted their third kit during their away clash against Manchester United in the Premier League. The shirt features an off-white base paired with navy accents and subtle golden detailing, complimented by a special crest on the left chest instead of their regular logo.
This marks the first time in a decade that "The Cherries" have taken the pitch in a polo-collared shirt for a Premier League fixture, with their last such design being the 2016-17 home kit crafted by JD Sports.
The new kit enjoyed a dream debut as Bournemouth swept past Manchester United in a memorable 3-0 victory right at Old Trafford.
Liverpool 26-27 Third Kit On-Pitch Debut
Liverpool debuted their new third kit, a tribute to Anfield’s iconic Kop stand, with a 2-1 victory over Brentford. The shirt features a pattern designed to resemble waving flags.
The match also marked the first on-pitch appearance of an alternative white shorts and socks combination, introduced to avoid a kit clash with Brentford, as the original ensemble features black shorts and socks.

Ronald Araújo Wore Old Premier League Font
Despite being phased out over three years ago, the Premier League’s previous typography (used from 2017-18 to 2022-23) made an unexpected return during Liverpool’s recent win against Brighton, appearing on the back of Ronald Araújo's shirt.
For reasons yet to be officially confirmed, the Uruguayan defender’s number "33" was heat-pressed using the legacy Premier League font. Meanwhile, his surname and short numbering correctly featured the current league typeface introduced in 2023. In all prior fixtures this season, Araújo had worn the updated style without issue.
The mix-up is widely believed to be an emergency kit-room solution, likely caused by a temporary shortage of the standard large "3" printing stock on matchday.
